Scheme of Delegation and Rules of Procedure

The Crofters (Scotland) Act 1993 makes provision for Commissioners to delegate the making of decisions on their behalf to:

  • any of their members
  • any of their committees
  • their Chief Executive
  • any person whose services are provided to them by the Scottish Ministers
  • any of their employees

The Crofting Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 (“the 2010 Act”) Schedule 1 paragraph 13 also provides that the Commission may regulate their own procedure. To view the Standing Orders for Crofting Commission meetings please click here.
